Monday March 20th, 2023: Guaranteed Irish has today announced the winners of the second annual Guaranteed Irish Business Awards, proudly supported by Permanent TSB. Leading Guaranteed Irish member businesses filled the room at today’s Awards ceremony with Anton Savage as MC, to celebrate the best of Business in Ireland, both indigenous and multinational, across various sectors and categories.
Among the award winners on the day was Briody Bedding, who won the Construction, Engineering & Manufacturing award, sponsored by Etex, with the award presented to Briody Bedding by Etex representative John Bradley.
The Briody Group is committed to emulating the four pillars of sustainability which Guaranteed Irish members pride themselves on; Jobs, Community Support, Provenance and Environment. Particular focus has been placed on improving the manufacturer’s impact on the environment with the use of sustainably produced and recycled materials as well as the installation of solar panels which are expected to reduce the company’s reliance on the National Grid by up to 70% per year. Further, the company’s contribution to landfill has been reduced by almost half since 2020 as material and foam cut-offs are now recycled into mattress pads for additional support and comfort.
Briody Bedding were chosen as worthy winners this year due to being an Irish family-run business for almost 50 years, their process of handcrafting all their mattresses and bedroom furniture in Ballinacree, Co Meath, and their ongoing support of Irish jobs and local communities.
